Durban city fans came together to see the Multi plutinum selling RnB star Chris Brown this past saturday night (4 April 2015) at Peoples Park (Moses Mabhida Stadium). The rain didn't stop the thousands of fans from meeting this talented young man. The X-Tour SA kicked start in Jhb at The Coca Cola Dome thursday night where a lot of bad reviews say Breezy Lip-sinked through out the whole show. His not the first artist to do it if he did and not the last too.
But then again this wasn't the issue for Durban fans, although I felt that the sound was over powering the artists I could see that Chris Brown was trying his best to be heard over high volume of sound. August Alsina was accompaning Chris Brown, as he performed his song Kissing on my tatoos and No Love to name just two.
Chris Brown performed songs from his X album like my favourite Came to Do also taking us back in time with Poppin from the first album, Take You Down & Forever. Closing the show with the hit track New Flame and Loyal.
But the highlight of the night was Chris Brown performing with WIZ KIDD on his "Show you my money" track and later premiered there collaboration that is set to drop soon. "Chris Brown & Wiz Kidd - African Bad Girl" is the track name. Must say African brothers are making it, if SA artist will learn and stop being selfish. Must say I can't wait to see Chris Brown dance like he did with Wiz Kidd.
Now to get back the dislikes, the orgarnisers failed to accomodate the people who got the Goldern Circle tickets as people where wet over the rain. Starting the show with a Hip Hop Dj from 6pm was a flop, people where bored from then till 8pm when NANDI MGOMA joined KO on stage. The 40 minute wait for Chris from 9:20PM - 10:00 with old MJ music not ON at all. And as for the lip-sinking, I wasn't in JHB I won't say anything. In durban he was performing his A** off, durban was on fire in the rain.
